| A memorial gathering for Arlie Edward Caywood will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Westside Church of Christ, West Orchard Extension, in Hermiston. Disposition was by cremation. |
| Mr. Caywood, 76, a resident of the Hermiston-Umatilla area since 1961, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. |
| He was born March 29, 1924, at Neosho, Mo., to Arlie and Etta Patterson Caywood. |
| On Oct. 11, 1942, he, and his wife, Evelyn Louise, were married at Neosho. They came to the Hermiston area in 1961. |
| Mr. Caywood had been employed by Union Pacific Railroad for 17 years. |
| He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. |
| Mr. Caywood loved helping others and was a real handyman. |
| Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Louise Caywood of Hermiston; sons, Timothy and Michael, both of the Seattle area; brothers, Jim of Kennewick, Wash., and David of Neosho, Mo.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. |
| Burns Mortuary of Hermsiton is in charge of arrangements. |
