Frances K. Capern
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, in Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham for Frances K. Capern, who died Dec. 18 at age 82. Mrs. Capern was born March 5, 1918, in Boswell, Pa. Her maiden name was Keim. She moved to Portland from Seattle in 1961, and was a directory clerk for Pacific Northwest Bell for 35 years before her retirement in 1975. She moved to Gresham in 1980 and was a member of the church. In 1954, she married John Capern.
Survivors include her husband; brother, Robert Keim; and sisters, Dorcas Keim and Mary Corbett.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Pioneer Cemetery in Gresham. The family suggests remembrances to her church. Arrangements are by Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel.
