A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, in Willamette National Cemetery for Rodney F. Barnes Sr., who died Jan. 6 at age 85.
Mr. Barnes was born April 25, 1919, in Fellows, Calif. During World War II, he served in the Army. He moved in 1952 to Portland, and was a counselor and teacher for Job Corps. In 1939, he married Lois V. Shafer; she died in 2000.
Survivors include his daughters, Rodene Hill, Dawn Anderson, Cindy Barnes and Becky Waymire; son, Rodney Jr.; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
