Norbert James Birchard

Norbert James Birchard died Dec. 24, 2004, at age 84. Mr. Birchard was born June 6, 1920, in St. Louis, Mo. During World War II, he served in the Army in the South Pacific. He worked for Pacific International Express. In about 1989, he moved to Portland. He married Ardis Rhodes in 1939.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Barbara Cole, Louise Flosi and Jeanette Hart; brother, Jack; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
