Robert L. BROCK, Jr.

Died from cancer at his home in Olympia on February 17, 2003. He was
born to Robert L. and Cleo Brock on June 18, 1941 in Jackson Barracks,
Missouri. In 1956 he moved with his parents to the Olympia area and
graduated in 1960 from North Thurston High School. In 1962 he married
Patty Parker and shortly thereafter was employed by Western Electric
Telephone. His work took he and his family to California, Arizona, New
Mexico and then back to Washington in 1976. He retired from AT&T in
1990. Bob enjoyed life. His passions were spending time with his family,
fishing, hunting and collecting and restoring old automobiles. He was a
member of the Mopar Auto Club in Seattle and a past member of the
Chrysler 300 Auto club in Olympia. Bob is survived by his wife Jan of
Seattle; his three children; Kim Wagar and her husband Mark of Olympia,
Brian Brock and his wife Page of Olympia, Becky Brock of Olympia; his
four grandchildren Ethan, Hannah, Michael, and Adeline; three brothers
Doug Graham of Vancover, Jerry Brock of Kirkland, Philip Brock of
Olympia; and a sister, Carole Lawton of Olympia. Following his request,
he was cremated with no formal public ceremony to follow. Instead, he
wished to have a "celebration of life" ceremony for his family and friends
to be held at the American Legion Hall #3 in Olympia on February 28th at
1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American
Cancer Society or the Huntington's Disease Foundation.
