| Zella V. BAKER Zella V. Baker, 72, loving wife, mother and grandmother, was called home by her Father in Heaven on February 15, 2003, at her home in Monroe, WA, surrounded by her family. Zella was born in Uniontown, PA, and was raised in Bakersfield, CA. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in History. She was a student counselor with the Lutheran Student Union at Oregon State University. Zella married David E. Baker on June 21, 1953, and they raised five children. Zella was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of several service groups. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and, most of all, her husband, children and grandchildren. Zella will be remembered for her generosity and loving, giving spirit. Surviving are her husband, David E. Baker, Monroe; sons, David A. Baker, Esq., Kirkland, Thomas E. Baker, P.E., Olympia; daughter, Victoria A. Baker-Hall, M.D.(Brad Hall), Monroe, Amanda B. (David) McChesney, Monroe, Laura M. Baker, Monroe; four grandchildren, Zachary T. Hall, Matthew S. Hall, Alexander D. McChesney and Alicia G. McChesney, all of Monroe. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Purdy & Kerr Funeral Home, Monroe.
