Beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend
passed away Sept. 20, 2002 after a long and valiant struggle with
pneumonia and cancer at Aldercrest Health and Rehab Center of
Edmonds, Wa. Here, she had many loving, caring nurses and
caretakers. Flora was born in Neosha, Mo. Nov. 26, 1918 to Perly
Woodward and Laura (Smith) among five beautiful sisters and four
handsome brothers. They moved to Longmont, Colo. Here, Flora grew
up, went to school, worked the sugar beet fields, and met and married
Jesse Buckley. They had one son, Richard L. Buckley, who is married
to Marlene (Hansen). Richard has been a very caring and attentive son
to his mom all her life. Flora's husband, Jesse, preceded her in death in
1977 and one granddaughter, Barbara, age 20, in 1979. Also
preceding her in death were two sisters, Zelda and Virginia, both of
Calif., and one brother, Russell of Colo. Flora is survived by her sisters

Wilson of Colo., three brothers; Warren and Connie, Jim and Agnes,

Buckley, of So. San Francisco, Calif., and numerous nieces and
nephews. Flora leaves behind three wonderful, caring, loving
grandchildren and eight beautiful, talented great-grandchildren. They
are; Richard, his wife Ann, and daughters Shannon, and Kaitlyn, of
Hayden, Id. Grandson David, his wife, Laura, sons Matthew, and
Michael, daughters, Melissa and Megan, of Mountlake Terrace, Wa.
Granddaughter Linda and her husband Garth Waltenbaugh, and

was a big part of Flora's life during holidays, birthdays, and family get-
togethers. While living in Seattle and Mountlake Terrace, Flora worked
for Boeing. Upon retiring, she enjoyed her bountiful garden, which she
shared with neighbors and friends. She was an avid newspaper reader;
kept up on sports and current events. She took a real interest in her
neighborhood and anyone she came in contact with. Flora leaves us
with fond memories and will be greatly missed by her family, her
neighbors, and her many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the
