Jewel Mae Brown
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, in Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel for Jewel Mae Brown, who died Dec. 28, 2001, at age 75. Mrs. Brown was born Jewel Mae Doty on March 12, 1926, in Anderson, Mo. She lived in the Newberg area and moved to Dundee in the mid-1970s. She was a farm laborer for about 20 years, retiring in the early 1980s. In 1959, she married Ray Brown; he died.
Survivors include her brothers, Robert J. Doty, William R. Doty and John W. Doty; and sisters, Dorothy G. Hall, Lorene Worden and Ruby Charlene Lawson.
