Sidney Bluestone
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, in the chapel of Shaarie Torah Cemetery, 8013 S.E. 67th Ave., for Sidney Bluestone, who died Sept. 4 at age 71. Mr. Bluestone was born Nov. 6, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Portland in 1963 and was a comptroller for Weiner's and Shedrain. He owned S. Bluestone Realty for 15 years until 1987, then worked for the company until retiring in 2000. He was a member and past president of Congregation Shaarie Torah. In 1957, he married Sylvia Bastacky.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Susan Shenhav and Julie Hockley; son, Steven; sister, Beatrice Shapiro; and two grandchildren.
