Lawrence Luther Barker "Larry"

Born March 17, 1927 in San Bernadino, CA, died suddenly from a
heart attack October 6, 1998 in Tacoma, WA. Larry was 71 years old.
Larry spent his youth in the Merchant Marines. The following 30 years
he devoted to his restaurant business. His knowledge and talent for
building engaged him in construction for the next 15 years. Larry was
known for his love of pets, his green thumb in the garden, and his
willingness to always lend a hand to his neighbors. He is survived by
Elvina "Mickey" Barker of Tacoma, WA, his loving wife of 23 years;
his children, Jim, Bob and Chuck Siemers, Larry Barker Jr., and Carol
Barker; and his 9 grandchildren. Larry will be sorely missed by his
many friends and family. Larry generously donated his remains to the
University of Washington School of Medicine. In honor of Larry's
memory, a potluck dinner will be held at the home of Elvina Barker on
Sunday, October 11, 1998, Noon - 3:00 pm, 7234 East F St.,
Tacoma, WA.
