Illa May Ballard Always Smiling Illa Ballard, 65 years of age, died Aug. 31, 1998 with her family at her side. She was born in Missouri and had resided in Pierce County the past 3 years. Illa's memory as a devoted mother and friend will be cherished by many. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. One of her many strengths was putting the needs of others before her own. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and son Jerry, as well as a sister, Geraldine. She is survived by her children, Rose Marie, Terri Lee, Kathleen, James Raymond, Randy Dwayne and Lori Anne; grandchildren Dale Jr., Crystal, Robert, April, Justin and Jessica; a brother, Delbert; and son-in-law Dale; Brandy, Devin and Taylor, to whom Illa was known as a loving nanny, as well as a part of the Barnett Family.
