Roy "Gene" Brazel
Gene, beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle
and friend to many, died suddenly on December 12, 2000.
He leaves his wife Madeleine, son Gene and wife Becky, daughter
Jeanette Barr and husband Scott, granddaughters Leigh Anne and
Danielle Barr, Ashleigh and Alyssa Brazel, all of Monroe and
father A.G., brother Lonnie and sister Annette of Santa Clara,
Utah and father and mother-in-law Bob and Lorraine Parrish of
Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his mother Helen.
Gene was born April 12, 1948 in Los Angeles, California and lived
there until 1975. He attended James Monroe High School where
he played basketball and met and later married his high school
sweetheart Madeleine. Gene and Madeleine were married on July
1, 1967. While in California their children Jeanette and Gene were
born and during the summer of 1975 the family moved to
Issaquah, Washington. In 1977 Gene built their first home in the
Wagner Hill area of Monroe, where he lived until his death. Gene
loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, but most of all his family.
His humor, laughter, kindness and feistiness will be greatly
missed by all who knew him. Thank God I'm a country boy!
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, at
12:00 noon at Wagner Hall, 12920 Wagner Road, Monroe,
Washington.
Arrangements entrusted to Purdy & Kerr Funeral Home, Monroe,
Washington.
