| Patricia Helen Bertino Patricia Helen was born August 27, 1940 to Chester and Edna Shults in Chico, CA, and died December 12, 2007 in Everett, WA. Oldest of four children she is survived by her three siblings, Nancy Keeling, Mary Ellen Logan and Roy Shults, all of California. Pat was married to Carl Bertino in 1958 and had three children that survive her, Carl Andrew and wife, Jeanet, of Lake Stevens, WA; Selena, of Woodinville, WA; Jesse and wife, Tammy, of Stanwood, WA. She absolutely adored her grandchildren, Reid Bertino-Geue, Ariel (Aaron) Layes, Kelsey Bertino, Quinn Holmberg-Bertino and Colby Bertino and great-granddaughter, Ocean Layes. Pat or "Tish" as she was known growing up went to school in Chico, CA. After she and Carl married they moved around California, then settled in Washington State, living in the Snohomish, Lake Stevens and Everett area. After her children were grown, Pat returned to school, attending Everett Community College with Selena and Jeanet. She worked as a lab tech and then ran her own Adult Family Home, Rainbow House, for many years. Her last months were spent in the loving care of Julie at NorthStar Family Home. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private services will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
