Martin William Butalla Martin William Butalla died March 9, 2008, at age 61. Martin William Butalla was born Sept. 5, 1946, in Harrisburg, Pa. He received bachelor's and master's degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology and a master's degree from Dallas Seminary. He moved to Sandy in 1995 and to Gresham in 2001, and was a civil engineer for XP Software in Portland for the last seven years. In 1979, he married Pamela Brown. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Beth Heaton, Kara Hannah and Laura Sheridan; stepson, Steve Latham; sister, Sister Martina Therese; /cq and five grandchildren. Arrangements by Bateman Carroll.
