Arliene Lovae BRYANT

"A friend of the family" Age 81, a resident of Rancho
Bernardo, California since 1994, died on February 1,
2007 in the loving presence of her three sons. She was
born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 13th, 1925 to
Andrew O'Dell and Clevah Pruitt O'Dell. Arliene
attended Paseo High School. After graduating in 1943
she went to Kansas City University and then moved to
New York City to pursue a successful career in the
Arts. While at Kansas City University Arliene met
Harry ("Bud") Bryant, Jr. They were married on
December 21st, 1949 after Harry graduated from the
United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
They raised three sons together while being stationed
around the world with the U.S. Navy. Captain Bryant
passed away in 1976 in Seattle, where Arliene
continued to live for many years. In 1987 she was
reunited with her high school sweetheart, Allan
Stubbs. They lived happily together in Rancho
Bernardo, California until Allan's passing in 2006.
Arliene will be remembered for her loving heart, kind
spirit, and generous soul. Her quiet dignity shone
through to the very end and will always remain an
inspiration to those who knew and loved her. She is
survived by her children, Bill, Rob, and Jim; her
three grandchildren; and her sisters, Cleone O'Dell
Vollheim and Sandra O'Dell. Funeral Services will be
held on 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 12th at Hillsdale
Presbyterian Church with Burial following in Hillsdale
Cemetery, 22875 West 255th Street, Hillsdale, KS
66071-5748. In lieu of flowers, donations to the
National Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan
Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, Ill. 60601-7633 would be
greatly appreciated.
