Robert E. Burke

Robert E. Burke passed away on February 14, 2007, at
his home in Puyallup at the age of 82. He was born in
California on July 22, 1925. He fought in WWII with
the U.S. Navy. He was a member and trustee of the VFW
Post Number 2224 in Puyallup and was active in many
their programs. He moved in Washington in the late
1940#s where he met his wife Freda. Shortly after
their marriage, he adopted her two sons, Gayle and
Gary. Bob and Freda opened Burke#s Office Equipment in
1961 in Puyallup, which is still in business today.
Bob was predeceased by Freda, his wife of over 50
years. He is survived by his sons, Gayle (Charlotte),
Gig Harbor, Gary, Puyallup, grandchildren David Burke,
Everett and Barbara Mussig (Mike) and his precious
great-granddaughters, Amanda, Sarah and Hailey, all of
Tacoma. He is also survived by his loving companion
Midge LaGrange. A memorial service will be held on
Wednesday, February 21, at the Garden Chapel at
Mountain View Cemetery at 1:00PM. A reception will be
held at the Puyallup VFW, 120 2nd Street N.E.,
following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make
