Russell Lancelot Burfitt

Russell was born March 9, 1927, in Russell City,
California, to Lancelot Burfitt and Karen E.M.
Hansen-Schoen. He passed away January 30, 2007, in
Lake Stevens, Washington. He attended Esparance
Elementary and Edmonds high School before joining the
Navy in WWII.
Russ worked at Lynnwood Lumber for several years
before starting Burfitt Bulldozing. He finally retired
after years of teaching Heavy Equip,emt Operation at
Edmonds Community College.
He belonged to Robert Burns Lodge F & AM and was a
Shriner.
Russell is survived by his wife, Elsa; son, Russell;
daughter, Donna Howell; granddaughter, Jennifer
Evenson; and great-grandsons, Lucas, Riley and Carter.
Also surviving him are his brothers, Glenn, of Lake
Stevens, and Donald, of Edmonds.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers,
Robert, Harold, and Walter Marshall; and sister,
Winifred.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Today,
February 2, 2007, at Restlawn Cemetery, 23800-104th
Avenue West, Edmonds, WA.
