Ava Jean Babcock 

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11,
2006, in Donelson Sewell & Mathews Mortuary for Ava
Jean Babcock, who died Nov. 30 at age 75. 

Ava Jean Brown was born May 30, 1931, in Spencer,
Neb., and moved to Hillsboro in 1944. She graduated
from Hillsboro High School and was a bookkeeper for
Sprouse-Reitz in Portland, an assembler for Sawyers
Viewmaster and owned with her husband Larry's Burgers
& Fountain in West Union for 25 years. In 1959, she
married Lawrence J. 

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Joyce Thomas;
son, Randal W.; and one grandchild.
