Susan L. Bacon Susan L. Bacon,of Salinas, CA died July 30, 1995, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was 47. Mrs. Bacon was a native of Salinas and lifelong resident of the area. She was accounts payable accountant for Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital for 19 years. She formerly had been the office manager for Rosoff's Furniture for 7 years. She was a 1966 graduate of Salinas High School and a 1968 graduate of Hartnell College. Mrs. Bacon was active with the Parent Teachers Club at University Park School and the Lyceum of Monterey County. She was a member of the Monterey County Horsemans Association. She received many awards in the Western Pleasure Class for her quarter horse. During 1993, she was awarded the Humanitarian Award by her employees at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. She attended First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Bacon is survived by her husband, Gary Bacon of Salinas; her son, Casey Bacon of Salinas; her daughter, Christina Bacon of Salinas; her parents, Harold and Priscilla Nitzke of Salinas; her brother, John Nitzke of Salinas; her sister, Karen MacDonald of Morgan Hill; numerous nieces and nephews Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Central Coast, 100 Barnet Segal Lane, Monterey, CA 93940; or the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation, 450 E.
