Patricia Ann Ayers died May 7, 2004, at age 65. Ms. Ayers was born March 7, 1939, in Kansas City, Mo., and moved to Portland as a child. She was a homemaker. In 1959, she married Jesse A. Bates; he died in 1982. Survivors include her daughters, Rachael Davis and Serafina Willis; sons, Patrick Cleaver, Dale Cleaver and William Ayers; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
