Raymond George Anderson A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2007, in Gresham Methodist Church for Raymond George Anderson, who died May 31 at age 81. Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 30, 1925, in San Francisco, and moved to Portland in 1931. During World War II, he served in the merchant marine in the Pacific and Atlantic. He worked for Jones-Oregon Stevedore for 38 years, including as a safety engineer and manager of the Vancouver dock, and retiring as a superintendent. He moved to Gresham in 1973. In 1947, he married Leta J. Curry. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Kari Anderson; sons, Steve, Mike and Randy; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
