Helen Vernie Arnett

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 28,
2004, in Highland Baptist Church in Redmond for Helen
Vernie Arnett, who died May 22 at age 77. 

Helen Vernie Hazzard was born Dec. 18, 1926, in
Saginaw, Mich. She moved in 1946 to Portland. She
later lived in Newberg and Coos Bay, before moving in
1958 to Redmond, where she was a nurse's aide for
several nursing homes. In 1947, she married John C. 

Survivors include her husband; son, Gary; daughters,
Sandra Kilander and Karen Eide; brother, Vernon
Hazzard; sister, Dorothy Dolomater; nine
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
