Elsie M. Axtell
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home for Elsie M. Axtell, who died April 4 at age 92.
Elsie M. Gardner was born Dec. 10, 1909, in Sacramento, Calif. She was raised in Baker and later lived in several locations before moving to Forest Grove. She was a homemaker who worked for Hudson House Cannery in Forest Grove for 19 years. She was a 30-year volunteer at the Forest Grove Senior Center. In 1927, she married William H. Hundley; they divorced. In 1965, she married Boyd L. Axtell; he died in 1986.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald G. Hundley, Daniel Hundley and William Hundley; daughter, Janice Hutchins; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
