Richard M. Appling
Age 75, of Puyallup, died December 20, 2000. He was born May 4, 1925 in Wellsville, Missouri to Horace and Nettie Appling. Richard served in the U.S. Army and managed Hi Ho Shopping Center for many years. He moved to Tacoma in 1946 and moved to Puyallup in 1965. Richard was a member of the Puyallup Eagles Aerie. Preceded in death by his wife Sharon in 1988. He will be missed by his children, Richard Appling Jr. (Lynn) of Roy, John (Judy) Appling of Tacoma, Keith (Jeanna) Sibbert of Kalispell, MT, Kevin Sibbert of Sumner, Cheri (Steven) Boisvert and Linda (Gary) Herrig of Bonney Lake; brother William Appling of McMillan, WA; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A time of viewing will be held Friday, December 22 from 12:00 to 6:00pm, and funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, December 23, 2000, at Powers Funeral Home, Puyallup, Interment Sumner Cemetery.
