William "Bill" Antes
Bill Antes, 87, born in San Francisco, CA on August 2, 1909, died August 26, 1996 in Tacoma. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Bill retired from Ft. Lewis as a Civil Service employee. He was a Veteran of WWII and retired from the Washington National Guard after 24 years of service with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He was an amateur radio operator with the call W7CAY and KA71QQ. He is survived by friend of 45 years, Bernard Yoder. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 29, 1996, 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Viewing will be prior to Mass at the church. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
