year battle with cancer. Gloria was born in Stockton, CA on March 6, 1932 and has
lived here all of her life. She was employed as a receptionist at South King County
Recovery Center for the past 9 years where she made close, loving friendships with her
co-workers. Gloria was a devoted and caring mother who always put her children and
others before herself. Gloria had a love for life and was loved by all who knew her.
Gloria fought her cancer with strength and courage to the very end. She was not only
our mother but our very best friend. Words cannot express how much we will miss this
jewel - our Angel in Heaven. Gloria is survived by her mother, Mary Altomare of
Tacoma; daughter, Toni L. Goin and son-in-law, Wallace of Port Orchard; daughter,
Tamara J. Watson of Steilacoom; and son, Todd G. Koch of Miami, FL. She is survived

Ravoy and Patricia and Darrell Arnone, all of Tacoma. She is also survived by Darrell J.
Arnone, nephew; Shannon Morelli, niece and husband, Colby; and grandniece, Alexa
H. Morelli, also of Tacoma. Also surviving are her beloved friends, Baine Leon of Miami
and Christine Perry of Seattle. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Henry G.
Kaplan, nurse Jeanne Honeycutt and the entire staff at Swedish Tumor Institute for
their constant care and compassion. The family would also like to thank the nurses at
Swedish Hospital and the Swedish hospice Program for their dedicated care. God bless
and protect you, Mama. We love you forever and we will miss you deeply. Eternal rest
grant unto her, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. Services by
