| Gloria J. Alamar Gloria J. Alamar, 62, of Seattle passed away on Jan. 24, 1995 after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer. Gloria was born in Stockton, CA on March 6, 1932 and has lived here all of her life. She was employed as a receptionist at South King County Recovery Center for the past 9 years where she made close, loving friendships with her co-workers. Gloria was a devoted and caring mother who always put her children and others before herself. Gloria had a love for life and was loved by all who knew her. Gloria fought her cancer with strength and courage to the very end. She was not only our mother but our very best friend. Words cannot express how much we will miss this jewel - our Angel in Heaven. Gloria is survived by her mother, Mary Altomare of Tacoma; daughter, Toni L. Goin and son-in-law, Wallace of Port Orchard; daughter, Tamara J. Watson of Steilacoom; and son, Todd G. Koch of Miami, FL. She is survived by 3 sisters and their husbands, Beverlee and Flavis Lazenby, Dolores and William Ravoy and Patricia and Darrell Arnone, all of Tacoma. She is also survived by Darrell J. Arnone, nephew; Shannon Morelli, niece and husband, Colby; and grandniece, Alexa H. Morelli, also of Tacoma. Also surviving are her beloved friends, Baine Leon of Miami and Christine Perry of Seattle. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Henry G. Kaplan, nurse Jeanne Honeycutt and the entire staff at Swedish Tumor Institute for their constant care and compassion. The family would also like to thank the nurses at Swedish Hospital and the Swedish hospice Program for their dedicated care. God bless and protect you, Mama.
