| May D. (Peggy) Adkins Peggy Adkins, 87, of Lakewood, passed away Dec. 19, 1995. She was born May Dorothy Taube, May, 1, 1908 in Stockton, CA. Her family moved to Tacoma in 1909 on June 21, 1931. She married Francis C. (Frenchy) Adkins, who preceded her in death in 1991. Peggy was a retired retail clerk who began working at Rhodes Brothers Department Store at the opening of Villa Plaza Shopping Center in 1956. She was a wonderful wife and mother and dearly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed helping people when they needed help and never turned her back on anyone. She is survived by her son, Jerry Adkins and wife, Linda of Spanaway. Her daughter, Judy Royne and husband, Dick of Puyallup. Granddaughters, Sandra Adkins of Billings, MT and Susan Lerma of Holtville, CA. Grandsons, Mike and Robert Wilson of Puyallup, Dennis Wilson of Graham. Great-grandchildren, Sara Kaitlyn and Amanda Lerma, Krystal and Shannen Wilson and Kyle Wilson. The family wishes to especially thank Laura Crews of Kimberly-Olsten Healthcare for her gentle care and kindness and for just listening. At her request no services will be held.
