Robert Vern Andrews
The funeral for Robert Vern Andrews will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bishop
Funeral Chapel in Pendleton with vault interment at the Pilot Rock
Cemetery.
Mr. Andrews, 91, of Puyallup, Wash., formerly of Pendleton, died
Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Lake Wood, Wash.
He was born Sept. 3, 1909, at Alameda, Calif., to Robert Hugh and
Lucille Effie Powers Andrews.
On March 19, 1940, he married Alice Rose Dezeil. Mrs. Andrews died
ten days ago, on Jan. 6, 2001.
Mr. Andrews was an amateur ham radio operator.
He had served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard.
He retired in 1963 from the Federal Aviation Administration in
Arizona.
Survivors include a son, Vern L. Andrews of Las Vegas, Nev.;
daughters, Carol Ann Lovell of Puyallup, Lola #Sue# Higgs of Post
Falls, Idaho; Sally Ann Nettleton of Pasa Robles, Calif., and Roberta
Dorbecker of Camino Island, Wash.; and 22 grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a son, Robert Hugh Andrews, and daughters,
Bonnie Marie Woods and Barbara Lee Hatfield.
Bishop Funeral Chapel of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
