Myrtle Lenora Aldrich
Myrtle Lenora Aldrich, 85, of Lake Oswego, died Tuesday, Oct. 26,
2000, at the Lebanon, Ore., Community Hospital, while visiting her
daughter at Sweet Home.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Burns
Mortuary of Pendleton.
Mrs. Aldrich was born Jan. 10, 1915, in San Bernardino, Calif., to
Leon and Laura Rucker Drew. She was raised at Junction City and in
the Marcola area of Oregon, graduating from Marcola High School.
On Feb. 17, 1947, she married Donald Ross Aldrich at Portland. The
coupel lived in Eugene and Albany before moving to Pendleton in 1953.
Mrs. Aldrich was employed at the First National Bank in Pendleton.
Mr. Aldrich died in 1993. Mrs. Aldrich moved to Lake Oswego a few
years ago.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Aldrich loved to cook, work in her yard and to spend time with
her family.
Survivors include daughters, Karen L. Winslow of Sweet Home, and
Kathy L. Pierce of North Powder; sons, David Ross Aldrich of Lake
Oswego, and James Thomas Aldrich of Pendleton; brothers, Ernest Ray
Drew of Coos Bay and Slim Drew of La Pine; eight grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in
death by two brothers and two sisters.
