Alsten, Christopher Ross March 26, 1948 to July 13, 2010 Chris was born in Los Angeles and passed away peacefully at his home in Pacific Beach. He graduated from SDSU and received his PHD in 1979. He started and was president of Ecology Action at SDSU and organized earth week in 1970. After graduating he was a founding member of Solar Aqua Systems (Farms). He has been a partner in Inner Health, doing sleep research. He helped found service groups. Chris was a member of the legenday Rancho Group that focused on spiritual growth. He loved nature, especially the ocean and sailing. He touched so many lives and helped so many people. Chris was so loving, giving and intelligent and will be greatly missed. The world is a better place for his having been here. H e is survived by his son, Joshua, brothers, Brad and Mark, and step sister, Robin LeBlanc and her family and ex- wife Hisa Izumi.
