Leibold, Madelyn Louise

March 10, 1925 to August 7, 2010 Our beloved mother
passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Janice.
Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lloyd, and her
first child of five, Carol, she now walks with them in heaven.
Madelyn was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, where she met
the love of her life, Lloyd. They moved to California in 1954.
She was a homemaker, a City of San Diego employee for 24
years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
and sang in the choir. Her interests were caring for her
family, being an avid reader, often reading a book in one
day. She enjoyed watching birds at her feeders, turkeys at
Lake Henshaw, and trips to Idyllwild, Yosemite and Big Bear.
She was the kindest, most gentle and generous person many
people have ever known. Our comfort is that she is in
heaven, although we will miss her forever. She is survived by
children Jeff (Chris), Janice (Paul), Jim (Angie), Sheri, 10
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be
on Saturday August 14th, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church, 4335 Van Dyke St., San Diego 92105.
Donations to the church, please, per her request.
