| Frank, Florence 94, of Scottsdale, Arizona answered heaven's roll call on August 16, 2010. Born in 1916 in the mining town of Bitumen, Pennsylvania, she was the youngest child of John and Mary Carlson. Flossie grew up in a place called Tintown by the locals (actually, Tinsmill). Early in life, she had the urge to go west, so she moved to Detroit, Michigan where she met and married Carl Frank. For almost 10 years, she worked on the assembly line in a Chrysler factory in Detroit. After Carl preceded her to heaven, she moved west again to join her daughter Carli, son Randy and their families in Arizona. Always known for her hard work ethic, great desserts, engaging personality and warm smile, most recently she was best known for her roles as hospitality agent, Bingo caller and even Santa Claus at The Manors of Scottsdale. She will be laid to rest in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona beside her husband Carl. Anyone wishing to contribute a memorial should submit it to the Banner Alzheimer's Institute. |
