Grenci, Robert D.

Robert D. "Bob" Grenci passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010, on
his 82nd birthday. He was born July 13, 1928 in Argentine,
Pennsylvania. He worked for the United States Post Office for
30 years before retiring in 1984. He served in the U.S. Army for
three years. He was an avid sports enthusiast and a
championship level billiards player. Bob had volunteered at the
Mission San Luis Rey and Oceanside Elks Lodge bingos for
many years. He was a past exalted ruler of the Elks lodge, a
member of the Knights of Columbus, The American Legion,
and the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC). He was a
member of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish in Oceanside. Bob
was preceded in death by his wife, Juneabelle E. "Jinx" Grenci
who passed away February 28, 2010; his parents; and four
brothers. He is survived by a brother, Anthony "Tony" Grenci of
Butler, PA; his sons Robert "Bobby" Grenci of San Diego, CA,
Louis "Lou" Grenci of La Quinta, CA, Michael "Mike" Grenci of
New Castle, PA, and Daniel "Dan" Grenci of San Diego, CA;
daughter, Theresa Lambert, Oceanside, CA; grandson Brenden
Lambert of Alameda, CA; and granddaughter Keelin Lambert of
Oceanside, CA. A Mass service and inurnment will be held
Thursday, August 5, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Mission San Luis Rey
in Oceanside, CA. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held
August 20, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Oceanside Elks Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made
in memory of Robert D. "Bob" Grenci to the Silverado Hospice
of San Diego, 335 Saxony Road, Encinitas, California 92024 or
the Oceanside Elks Lodge 1561, 444 Country Club Lane,
Oceanside, CA 92054.
