Butler, Frank Oren

April 12, 1922 to July 14, 2010 Frank was born in El Cajon, the
youngest of five children. In 1941, he graduated from San
Diego High and soon began a 41-year career with Western
Electric Co. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army
signal corps. A devoted member of Rolando United Methodist
Church Frank was also a member of Masonic Lodge #35,
Scottish Rite and Al Bahr Shrine. He was a 33rd Degree Mason
and the proud recipient of the Hiram Award for his 50+ years
of devoted Masonic service. Frank enjoyed cheering for the
grandkids sports, Aztec games with church friends and making
wooden toy cars for the SDFWWA. Frank suffered a stroke in
March and passed away with his family at his side. He is
survived by his wife of 62 years Betty, two sons Alan (Cathy)
and Dale (Susan), three grandchildren and many extended
family and friends. A memorial service will be on August 6th at
11:00 a.m. at San Diego Scottish Rite Center. Donations may be
made to the San Diego Scottish Rite Center for Speech
Therapy, Al Bahr Shrine or Rolando United Methodist Church.
