Skibba, Roberta 73, of Chandler, AZ passed away on 2 July 2010. Roberta was a wonderful musician playing with many groups: Neenah community band, San Bernardino Valley college band, Riverside concert band, Redlands 4th of July band, Monrovian trombone choir. In her 50's she proved never too old to learn new things. She played: trumpet, coronet, french horn, trombone, baritone and tuba. Even at 73 you still played baritone and tuba at home. Roberta is survived by the love of her life Dale of Phoenix, AZ, daughter Kathryn Van Gompel of Mesa, AZ grand daughter Bethany Van Gompel of Phoenix, AZ, grandson Peter Van gompel of Mesa, AZ, 2 brothers Maurice (Ghodsi) Skibba of Colorado, Daniel (Laurie) Skibba of New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Suzanne (pionek) Skibba, father Raymond Skibba, and sister Maureen Klein. There will be no services. One of her favorite songs was Amazing Grace, may we play that in remembrance of her. In lieu of flowers we ask that those who can make a donation to the "Susan G Komen for a cure".
