Babb, Lindsay A. 28 04/08/1982 06/22/2010 A celebration of life for Lindsay A. Babb will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Fullers Farm rugby field located on 2565 S.W. Ek Road, West Linn. Lindsay passed away in Portland June 22, 2010. She was 28. Lindsay was born April 8, 1982, to Mike and Valerie (Stursa) Babb in Eugene. She attended Spring Creek Elementary School, Madison Middle School and graduated in 2000 from North Eugene High School. While attending North Eugene High School, Lindsay excelled in track, basketball, and soccer and was third team All-State goalie in soccer her senior year at North. Lindsay graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in sociology and a minor in Spanish. After graduation, Lindsay spent time in Spain teaching English. While attending UO, Lindsay found her passion in playing rugby. "Babb" was an outstanding rugby player in the Portland area for Oregon Sports Union (ORSU). She played with the utmost heart and was a huge inspiration to her teammates. Lindsay had an awesome singing voice, beautiful smile and kind heart. She brought joy and happiness to everyone she met and made the world a better place by being in it. Lindsay also loved a good party. At the time of her death, Lindsay was a supervisor at the New Seasons Market in Portland. Lindsay is survived by her loving parents; brothers, Brady and Kasey Babb; sister-in-law, Joyce Babb; nephew, Cameron Babb; grandparents, Sylvia and Randy Prouse and Shirley and Bert Babb; along with a huge array of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love and miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ken Stursa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Sports Union (ORSU) Lindsay Babb Memorial Fund at any Pacific Continental Bank. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary, Eugene.
