| Burton, Raymond M. Sr. Raymond M. Burton Sr. Resident of Concord May 14, 1924 - July 7, 2010 Raymond Martin Burton, Sr. passed away on Wednesday after a valiant battle with kidney disease. He touched many lives with his generosity and constant concern for the well-being of others. Raymond was born in San Francisco and after serving in the Army in World War II, he and his wife, Lois Burton (now deceased), moved to Daly City where he lived for 50 years. He moved to Concord four years ago to live with family. Raymond was a proud 60 year member of Plumbers Union, Local 38 and enjoyed his membership in the Fryers Club of San Mateo County and the Wednesday Morning Poker Club at the Concord Senior Center. Raymond loved to socialize with people and there was never a stranger who would not become a friend. Raymond is survived by his devoted children; Sandra Benson (Jerry), Raymond Burton Jr. (Laura), Laureen Arnold (Jeffrey), Alfred Scardino and Cynthia Canas (Tito), Grandchildren; Jeffrey, Lindsay, J.J., Eric, Jeremy, Diane, Jennifer, Rebecca and Sofia and his great grandchildren; Peyton and Anthony. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 4 - 8 pm and a funeral service on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 12:00 pm at Oak Park Hills Chapel, 3111 N. Main St., Walnut Creek, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens in Concord. A light buffet will follow at 3718 Parkmall Court, Concord.
