| Bash, Charles Wade Charles Wade Bash May 26, 1925 ~ June 6, 2010 Dad was born in Scalp Level, PA. He survived WWII as part of a successful career beginning with the Army Air Corp and retiring as a USAF SMSGT Flight Engineer at McChord AFB, WA in 1967. He completed a second career with Boeing as one of a select group to perform flight crew training for their commercial airline division. Dad enjoyed people, parties, politics, the piano, a good bourbon. and his hair cuts high and tight. If he ever saluted you or shook your hand he meant it! He will be remembered most for his love and total devotion to his family, his patriotism and his integrity. He will be missed very, very much through many wonderful memories. He will always be our hero and alive within our hearts. Dad passed peacefully at St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Renie, son Dennis (Lynn) Bash of Kodiak, AK, daughters Sue (Jim) Miller of Gig Harbor, WA, Karen (Bill) Doherty of Carmel, IN, Renee (Jack) Richards of Ventura, CA, sisters Lois Eash of Johnstown, PA, Patty Walker of Pasadena, MD, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A private interment at Tahoma National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Dad would have wanted donations sent to St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor.
