Harrington, Connie Ruth Connie Ruth Harrington was born in Turlock, CA on December 4, 1950 and lived there with her family until the early 1980's. She then lived in Phoenix, AZ until 1990 when she moved to Idaho. She was a long time resident of Boise, ID., and just recently retired and moved to Chico, CA to be near her sisters. She passed away suddenly at her home in Chico, CA., on May 27, 2010. Connie loved to fix things#there wasn't anything she couldn't fix. Connie was also very artistic. She carved bears and eagles with a chain saw, and she painted beautiful Indian scenery on old cow skulls that she would find in the woods of Salmon, ID. When she retired she found gardening to be something she enjoyed very much. She placed a pond in her front yard and planted flowers. She had really taken to being outdoors and working in her yard. Connie had been a nurse since the late 1970's. This was another side of her, her passion for caring for others. She will be deeply missed in the nursing community. She is survived by her son Che Harrington of Boise, ID., her daughter Charla Caldwell of Boise, ID., and her children (grandchildren); Trevor Petersen of Boise, ID., Robert Caldwell of Royce City, TX., Christopher Strong of Boise, ID., her sister, Annie (Rich) DiGullio of Ripton, CA., sister, Marylou McCann of Chico, CA., sister, Debra Sue Brey of Orville, CA., brother, Donald Casey of Seattle, WA., sister, Vicki Casey of Fresno, CA., brother, Scott Casey of Boise, ID., and many numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. And of course her beloved companion cat, Bugsy and her dog, Jacks. She was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Harrington, her parents, Betty Reddington and William Casey, her sister, Fredia Casey, brother-in-law, Herman (Bud) McCann and her ex- husband, John Harrington. The family would like to give special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. John and Diana Oliver and their family for always being there for our family and to Mr. and Mrs. Chad and Jennifer Roskelley and family, the Church of Jesus Christ Latter- day Saints, Bishop Curtis Hansen and Nancy Ronneburger for all your support and help. Our Mother, sister, and grandma (Nana) and Aunt will be deeply missed truly by all. She had a smile that could make everyone around her smile, a laugh you could never forget she will be forever in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. A viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Cloverdale Funeral Home, with a Graveside service to follow at 2:00 pm at Cloverdale Memorial Park.
