Walters, Kathaleen passed away on June 7, 2010. Kathaleen "Kittie" A. Walters, 96, of Mesa, Az passed away on 6/7/2010. Adored and loved by everyone, Kittie achieved much success as a trailblazer in the banking industry. Kittie achieved many firsts but her proudest were being promoted as 1st female Asst. Cashier and 1st female Asst VP for the Mt. Prospect State Bank in IL. She served in various capacities for numerous organizations and was on the founding committees of many organizations which still exist today. Mt. Prospect Business and Professional Woman (BPW), IL State and Chicago chapters of National Association of Business Women (NABW), Chicago Financial Advertising Club, Bank Marketing Association, Mt. Prospect Historical Society, Mt. Prospect Heart Fund, Salvation Army, and March of Dimes. After moving to Arizona in 1971, she acquired more success working at United Bank of Arizona in the Sunnyslope, Sun City North and Sun City West branches and the corporate office. She was also very active with her religion as a Christian Scientist helping to open the first CS church in Sun City West. During her retirement, she continued her love of sewing, home decorating, various social activities and attending the Sun Cities Symphony. Preceded in death by her sister Barbara Wiederhold and her husband Bill, nephews Ken Wiederhold, and Gary Wiederhold (wife Tammy), nieces Cathy Eckman, Laura Barker (husband Carlton), Suzi Sigler, 7 great nephews, 3 great nieces and 2 great, great nephews.
