Coale, Zandra Irene Sperling Lewis Zandra Irene (Lewis) Sperling Coale, 89, Gaithersburg, MD, passed away May 5, 2010. Born March 24, 1921, in Flagstaff, AZ, to Urban James and Mary (Rozen) Lewis, Zandra graduated from Gross- mont High School in 1938 and Woodbury College in 1940. She married Omar Dale Fitch on September 19, 1943. He died October 7, 1955 in San Diego. Her second husband, of 43 years, Warren George Sperling, died January 8, 2004 in Carlsbad, CA. She retired from the Ojai School District in 1985 as the director of personnel. In January 2005, Zandra moved to Gaithersburg, MD to be near her son CAPT David P. Fitch, USN (Ret). On May 27, 2006, she married Allen Roberts Coale. She is survived by her husband Allen; her two brothers, Urban James Lewis III of La Jolla, CA, and Daniel George Lewis of Pasadena, CA; and her son David, his wife Lucy, three grandsons, and two great-grand-sons. Zandra enjoyed her spiritual life in the Unity Church and the Church of Religious Science in California. A Memorial Service was held May 17th at Asbury Methodist Village, Gaithersburg.
