Howell, Julie Fernandez

Julie Fernandez Howell, our beautiful butterfly, passed away
Sunday, June 6, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, after
a long battle with AIH and a recent stroke. Julie was born on
February 24, 1949 in Eloy, Arizona. She was the eighth child
born to Zacharias and Guadalupe Fernandez. After Julie was
13 they settled in the Wilder area to raise their family. Julie
grew up in Wilder and graduated from Wilder High School.
Julie married the love of her life, Roger G. Howell, and they
were married for 43 years. Roger and Julie attended the
Golden Gate Baptist Church in Wilder. Julie later became the
secretary of the church, this experience helped mold her
into the beautiful woman that all of us knew her to be. Julie
also worked for the Wilder School District for 26 years
watching all of "her kids" grow up. Her family has enjoyed
all of the results of her hobbies, especially her love of art,
displaying her paintings and drawings in each of their
homes. Julie was preceded in death by her parents Zacharias
and Guadalupe Fernandez; two older sisters, Rita Enrico and
Marcella Kelly; and her little brother Andy Fernandez. She is
survived by her husband Roger Howell (43 years married)
and her children Randy & Tonya Howell, Tammy Howell &
Frank Dunda, and the youngest Angela Renae. Her surviving
grandchildren include Michael Howell, Natassia Ruiz, Joshua
Ruiz, Allysa Howell, Eliana Ibarra, Kayla Ibarra, Quincy
Howell, Aaron & Lori Dunda, Kris & Matt Drumheller and 3
great-grandchildren. Her surviving siblings include Mary
Parrish, Daisy Sarceda, Alfred Montano, Severo Montano,
Leo & Sue Fernandez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Julie has always been considered the glue of this
gianormous family and will be greatly missed. Her beautiful
smile and infectious laughter will forever be etched in each
of our memories. There will be a viewing on Wednesday,
June 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Flahiff Chapel in
Homedale, Idaho. The community is invited to a celebration
of Julie's life on Thursday June 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Wilder
Golden Gate Baptist Church with internment immediately
following at Wilder Cemetery. Services are under the
direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapels. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests donations to Wilder Q.R.U.
