McGowan, Stanley Stanley "Mac" McGowan, 74, of Donnelly, passed away in a Boise hospital on June 21, 2010. A Memorial service will be held 3:30 pm Friday, June 25, 2010 at Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise. Mac was born December 6, 1935 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania to James and Evelyn McGowan. He joined the Air Force after graduation from high school. He served two years in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War in Thailand and Vietnam. He retired as Senior Master Sgt after 20 years. He then went to work at the Idaho Transportation Department for 17 years before retiring and moving to Donnelly, Idaho in 1993. Mac married JoAnn Mann and they celebrated 52 years of marriage in August 2009. He loved fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. We are left with many pleasant memories of all the fun times we had. Mac is survived by his wife, JoAnn, two children; Brian McGowan and wife Lesli of Boise, Kathy Brown and husband Matt of Bozeman, MT, five granddaughters; Madison, Caitlin and Abbigail McGowan, Shaleen and Krista Brown and a sister; Marilee Stahler of Allentown, PA.
