Angelino, Lita Jane

Lila Jane Angelino found her way home on February 13th.
She was born February 23rd, 1925, in Los Angeles,
California. She spent her youth among the glamour of
Hollywood and the entertainment industry working at
Grauman Chinese Theatre, MGM Studios and becoming a
life time member of the Professional Musician Local 47,
which is affiliated with the American Federa- tion of
Musicians. Music, especially jazz, had become a large part
of Lila's life. Jeri Brown was her life-long business partner
and as her mentor in music taught her how to play the
bass. They traveled from one end of the country to the
other, including Alaska and Hawaii performing as the
"Bel-Aires". Lila retired when she moved to Lake
Arrowhead, CA, while Jeri continued performing. In 1984
Jackie, Jeri, and Lila moved to Colbert, WA, where Jeri
continued to entertain. Lila and Jackie supported her gigs
and were in charge of the equipment. Lila was well taken
care of by the excellent staff at Royal Park Care Center
and we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to
the group. In her last hours she was surrounded by loved
ones and friends as she passed peaceably. Mass will be
said on Monday February 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic
Church (3720 E. Colbert Rd., Colbert, WA 99005). A
celebration of Lila's life will be on March 6th from 11 am
to 2:30 pm at St. Joseph'sCatholic Church. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to Spokane Humane
Society (6607 N. Havana St., Spokane, WA. 99217).
