| Turner, Jack R. 78, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on February 20, 2010. Born in Tucson, AZ on March 18, 1931 to Jack and Beatrice Turner. Preceded in death by sister Jane and brother Alfred. After graduating from the University of Arizona, Jack was employed by Salt River Project , retiring after 38 years. He was involved in Rotary Club, Community Ministries, Salvation Army and other civic and church activities. He battled Parkinson's Disease for 19 years. Survived by wife of 53 years, Joanne; children Jacki Rowell (James), Joel Turner (Julie); grandchildren Jennifer Ingram (Shawn), Jeremy Rowell, Johnathan, Jackson and Jillian Turner; great grandson Shawn Ingram II. Services will be held at Scottsdale Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 24 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions to Hospice of the Valley-Brighton Gardens or Hospice of the Valley Outreach Program. Published in The Arizona Republic on February 23, 2010 |
