Burke, Paula

Paula Burke, 89, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 18, 2010.
She was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Joplin, Mo., and was a 57-
year resident of Nevada. Paula was a successful real estate
agent between the 50's and 60's, after which she became a
very devoted mother, wife and homemaker. She was
heavily involved as president, member or active participant
of many clubs and associations such as the Southern
Nevada Poodle Club, Nevada Hunter Jumpers, Appaloosa
Club, NSHA, PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and many others.
She loved people, animals, nature and most of all, life to
the fullest. Paula is survived by her sister, Ethel Flenor; her
husband, of 47 years, John W. Burke; her daughter, Felicia
Burke; son, Tim Burke; and her granddaughter, Hannah
Burke. Viewing will be 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, both at Palm
Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
