Conner, Paul Quinten 67 04/06/1942 02/25/2010 Paul Quinten Conner was a well-known singer-songwriter, guitar playing blues musician who per-formed around Portland for over 40 years, except for the late '90s when he lived in New Orleans and Key West, Fla. His band played at almost every live music venue as well as the Waterfront Blues Festival. He is survived by his daughter, Marie Conner; and son, Nathan Conner. He was predeceased by his brother, "Bad" George Conner, an actor and poet; as well as his sister, Charlene. Paul also has a half brother and half sisters, as well as two grandchildren. Paul also considered his many friends to be his family. He considered himself blessed to have met and performed or allowed to be an opening act for national blues names. Paul wrote at least 200 songs and created the cartoon character, "Blues Duck," who had many autobiographi-cal adventures. Friends, family, musicians, former wives and girlfriends are all welcome to celebrate his life with food and music at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, in the Eagles Lodge on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard at 50th Avenue.
