Skousen, Dan

60, passed away surrounded by family and friends on February 2,
2010. He is the son of Klien Kimball and Elizabeth Griffith
Skousen and has ten brothers and sisters. He grew up in
Chandler, Arizona where he graduated from Chandler High in
1967. He went on to graduate from Brigham Young University
with a degree in Agriculture Economics. He farmed in the Hyder
area for over 36 years raising crops, cattle, and children. He was
a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and
served in the church there in many positions, including Branch
President for 18 years and scoutmaster. For ten years, Dan
served on the Sentinel Elementary School Board. Dan and his
wife Teresa, were blessed with seven remarkable children:
Daniel (Kimberley), Troy (Jennifer), Kevin (Elizabeth), Tracy,
Clark, Darrell (Breanna), and Aaron and nine grandchildren. He is
a loved and respected husband, father, grandfather, brother and
community leader. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on
Friday, February 12 at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr.,
Chandler. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday,
February 13 at the LDS Hyder Branch with visitation from 10 to
10:30.
