Hull, Patricia Kay

70 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on January 16, 2010. Patricia
was born July 28, 1939 to Mabel Ethel Schaefer and Raymond
Herbert Bell in Sharon, Mercer County, PA. She held an
Associate of Arts 1990 from Glendale Community College, and a
Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Communication 1992 from
Arizona State University (ASU). She sold Real Estate from 1976
to 1982 and was a licensed agent until 2002. Her volunteer
efforts included: Girl Scouts USA- Life Member, Leader, Trainer
Program Consultant Olympics of the Mind Coach; Literacy
Teacher- Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County; Boy Scout
Troop Committee Treasurer and Troop Mom; Youth Soccer
League- Team Mom, Team Sponsor; and a Teacher Aid- Gifted
Children Classes Ironwood Elementary. She was also an active
member in Planned Parenthood, National Organization of
Women (NOW), American Mensa since 1983 (Greater Phoenix 6
PM Chapter), National Geographic Society, World Federalists,
Girl Scouts USA. She had a talent and passion for the outdoors,
wildlife, and botany. Her most valued and loved
hobbies/interests were continuing education, gardening, study
of the southwest, different cultures, world history/events, crafts,
music, camping, needlework, writing, literature, animals and
crossword puzzles. Her accomplishments included: Fund
Raising and Troop Support for the World Boy Scout Jamboree
XVI Australia; Founder- Washington Elementary School District
Ironwood Adult Evening School; and original research on "Fred
Harvey's Harvey Girls" now at ASU Hayden Library, AZ Room,
Tempe, AZ. She is survived and remembered by her two former
husbands David and Robert, four children: David, Jacqui, Brett
and Bonnie and their spouses, 16 grandchildren, 5 great
grandchildren, beloved dog Arlo, family and many lifelong
friends. As per her wishes there will be no funeral as her final
gift was the donation of her body to science. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in her name to: Girl Scouts, Leukemia
Society of America, NOW, Planned Parenthood, Habitat for
Humanity, or St. Mary's Food Bank.
