Gilmore, Paula Jean

Paula Jean Gillmore Paula passed away at home on January 20,
2010 after a 26 year battle with breast cancer. Paula was born Jan.
30, 1934 and was raised in Neosho, MO. She is survived by her
husband Jim, son Tom, who lives in Winter Park, FL, and daughter
Karen Beal, who lives in Kent, WA and is the mother of Paula's
two grandsons. Paula met her husband while both were serving in
the U.S. Navy as air traffic controllers at Alameda Naval Air
Station in CA. They were married in Jan., 1955. Paula retired in
1994 from the Auburn WA school district where she was an
elementary teacher. She and her husband enjoyed living full time
and traveling in their motorhome for more than six years. They
settled in Auburn in 2004 in Rio Verde Manufactured Home Park.
Paula was active in her church and volunteered at area schools.
Memorial services 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Kent
Lutheran Church, 336 2nd Ave. S., Kent, 98032. Arrangements by
Klontz Funeral Home.
